This thread has got me wondering about a favourite of 2010 thread. I can't think of many films that have been released this year that I really like. Unless there have and I just can't think..

I think the fifteen minutes Bill Murray was in that movie was hilarious. And those fifteen minutes are better than Moon. Everyone has a right to an opinion.

I'm not expecting much, so I'll probably enjoy it. I'm thinking of buying it on DVD because it's a cinematic experience and I have a big TV, so watching it on my TV would be a better idea than on my laptop.

My favourites from 2009:
Inglourious Basterds
500 Days Of Summer
Adventureland
Sherlock Holmes
An Education
Up
Avatar wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. It was k.

500 Days of Summer doesn't really look like my type of movie so I probably won't be seeing it.

I might get around to Adventureland because it looks alright.

The 20 minutes of Sherlock Holmes that I saw were hilariously awful so I don't know how you could put it in there as the summer blockbuster ahead of District 9 or Star Trek.

I have no idea what An Education is.

I'm slow to watch animated movies but I'm sure I'll see Up at some point...

Oh, I agree on the first and third parts.

It's the second part about Moon not being any good that I disagree with you...

Kick Ass was pretty awesome. Shutter Island wasn't too bad. I haven't seen Iron Man 2 yet...

Whip it was a good one from last year too. I love Ellen Page. But it made me miss roller derby, I wish there was a team close to me.

500 Days of Summer struck me at first as a light hearted rom-com, I was wrong. It was a great film.

Adventureland is my favourite one of its kind (Superbad, The Hangover etc.)

Sherlock Holmes, I dunno.. There was just something about it I liked. I found it clever and different from what Guy Ritchie usually does. Even though he used the same sequence in the fight scene as he did in other of his movies. I wish he'd branch out a bit more than he does because he's great.

An Education is a British coming of age film. I really enjoyed it.

Up was the first decent pixar film I've watched in ages.

Kick-Ass and Shutter Island were the only ones to come to mind, I loved Shutter Island.. (Apart from the truly horrible mistakes in the film it was a great story line) I was so surprised it underwhelmed the critics. I went to see Kick-Ass in the cinema and it was great, really fun well made film.

I liked Shutter island as well, even though the ending was not quite the twist it was made out to be by critics and everyone who recommended the movie to me.

I think I liked the ending of Shutter Island cos it's like well, is he sane and did they trick him? Or was he genuinely a nut.

People are divided on their opinion, I just wish they would've ironed out the really simple mistakes. I don't know how Scorsese made a mistake like Dicaprio swimming to the lighthouse and then when he got there his clothes were dry. Quite extraordinary really..
