Absolute Favorite:
The Dark Knight (2008) - It was one of the better, if not the best Batman movie in the series. The movie had excellent performances from Bale and Ledger, and good writing from the Nolan brothers. One of few movies I know that lived up to the hype. The rest in no particular order: District 9 (2009) Inglourious Basterds (2009) Avatar (2009) No Country for Old Men (2007) Gladiator (2000) Hotel Rwanda (2004) V for Vendetta (2005) Donnie Darko (2001) The Hangover (2009) Last edited by jerkmonkey; 01-18-2010 at 09:59 PM. |

Actually, it's the only good performance by Bale.
I do think the Bat voice was incredibly cheesy, but then again it made sense why he used it, and overall I thought he was very good in the role. Still no Michael Keaton though. |

I'm surprised Bale gets so much criticism for his voice in the movie (which didn't bother me all that much). Christopher Nolan, as director, guides his actors through their performances... If the voice is so horrible, blame him. He's the one who should be telling Bale somewhere in the process, 'hey man, your take on Batman's voice is annoying, cut that sh!t out'.

Yeah, I was just being a douche when I said it was his only good performance.
I haven't even seen American Pyscho or The Prestige. |

Christian Bale maybe a prick.... but gees the man is one the better actors out there IMO. You dont even appreicate his great acting skills.... Just look at his Dedication. Watch American Psycho in 2000 hes pretty built Then watch the Machinist in 2004 hes so skinny that he looks like hes been starved for years. BTW I really didnt like the machinist considering it as a story but Bale put on a good performance. It said he one cup of coffee and an apple (or a can of tuna) each day to lose the 60 pounds for the movie. Then look at Batman Begins in 2005 Hes even more built then he was in American Psycho. If you dont like any of those Christian Bale Movies.... You have to see Steven Spielberg's Empire of the Sun. I also heard he has a great performance with Charlton Heston in Treasure Island but I cant get my hands on a copy of that film because it hasnt came out on DVD yet. |
