How ironic. I just finished The Illusionist and he plays the young Edward Norton in that movie...

The last four names (Cruise, Cage, Depp, Stiller) are probably four actors I would call overrated.
Minority Report is one of my favorite movies though. Nic Cage was lucky to be in The Rock, and the only Stiller comedy I love is Zoolander. I don't really have favorite actors though. I'm way more likely to see a movie because of the screenwriter/director...

Viggo Mortensen, Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Ralph Fiennes, Daniel Day Lewis, Russell Crowe,.....I like insightful actors that have layers, truthful actors that serve the characters and films and not themselves, when you don't see them acting. I don't like showcasing of technique and virtuosity, although Daniel Day Lewis and Gary Oldman are sometimes pretty virtuosic, they usually have enough depth and a solid basis, so it doesn't become a distraction and it's rarely just for the sake of it.

Dexter is great too. Hall is practically made for that series. As far as actresses, Kiera Knightley is hot as all hell. I don't care about her acting ability. I want to marry that face. |
