the big difference now is that big budget hollywood films are now purposefully setting out to make movies that would be enjoyable in 3d, and not your typical ball in the face action. whether or not you want to partake is your decision entirely, but there are obviously people that are enjoying seeing avatar in 3d as compared to "ball in your face" movies.

I know what you mean by it can be distracting, I got a bit of a headache, but I have quite dodgy eyes. One being long sighted and the other being short, I dont know wither this was related, but I'll blame it anyways. I just think there's a hype around the 3D because for people my age, I'm pretty sure the only 3D film was Jurassic Park (I Think), thats just the point I'm making, it's newish here .

And my point is that the end result isn't any better than the same movie in 2D. |

Jaws 3D is one of the biggest pieces of sh*t you'll ever see in your life. |

I have nothing against 3D, I've been defending Avatar's use of it the whole time. Hell, even as a gimmick for old 50s horror and sci fi movies, it's a fun gimmick. Though I didn't watch the 3D version of Coraline because I worried I would be too distracted and also a big part of the films visual appeal was it's use of color and the red and blue would totally ruin that. I hope the kinda glasses Avatar used becomes mandatory for now on. |
