I once saw a really bad 3D movie (on dinosaurs, for heaven's sake), in a bad theatre, with bad seats. I got dizzy and went outside. I hope it was because of bad 3d glasses, or I'll vomit all over avatar's front rows |

The graphics is the only thing everyone seems to be looking forward to, and not the story line etc.

Because the story line is simple, and it's been done before. But that's ok. To me it enhanced the rest of the movie, like the visuals and the acting. Simple story lines aren't always a bad thing.

I guess you're right about simple story lines arn't necessarily a bad thing. I think I'm going to expect to little when I go to see it, that should make it better though, instead of being disapointed with it !

No, it isn't okay when a director tries to pass off recycled, cliché garbage as revolutionary. Cameron spent 12 years making this film and he had to lift the storyline directly from Dances With Wolves? Not that I (or anyone else should have) expected more from James Cameron--he makes easy to digest escapism. You have your hand held throughout the entire film. You know who the good guys are, who the bad guys are, who to root for and what's going to happen within the first 15 minutes of the film. No challenges, no surprises. The film is literally a time-sucker. You watch it to waste 3 hours and take absolutely nothing else from it. If that's your thing, you'll fucking love it.
