does windows photo gallery read images out of archives?
i've downloaded 15gb of comics today. i can't afford to extract them all anyway my mouse scroll wheel works just fine with CDisplay

Well, no. That was one of the things that confused me about the comicrack, it was primarily created for reading archives? Ok, at least it let me choose one pic and then go through the entire folder, I couldn't see how to do that with cdisplay...:/

yeah it's designed to work with rar or zip files...
a rar file renamed to cbr is a comic book archive. double-click it, it opens with CDisplay or similar, and you can scroll through all the images sequentially.

I'm reading comics on my laptop by the way, which doesn't have a scroll wheel...that probably hinders their performance and why I'm sort of bound to point and click programs. WMP is pretty satisfying actually, I just wish you could have the full screen option or double pages for those centerfolds...small complaints really...(considering the look and feel of the other two).
Edit: Oh yeah, welcome to the wonderful world of free comics. I've only just gotten into them in the past year or so and haven't payed for one yet. Will do eventually, but this is just much more convenient (and cheaper ) for the time being...

Started that but thought it very average, both in art and story (not too big on zombies).
