I saw the trailer for it a few weeks ago, and I must say I've my doubts. Only one way to find out, though and that is to drink some more cough syrup.

I had a buddy who damn near wigged out from robo-tripping. Be careful with that stuff.

I liked the first - the action was good and the jokes were funny. Willem Dafoe as the transvestite detective was also quite memorable. The only thing I didn't like was I felt the makers behind the movie were advocating the kind of "eye for eye" morale and vigilantism that the characters were practicing .. you know, the movie sort of ends with these little interviews where ask people in the street what they think of the saints. Didn't like that, but the rest was good.

Yea but they balanced it out by including interviews with people who said that it was wrong. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally with you as far as advocating that it's an acceptable way to live, I mean our tax dollars pay police officers to do this sort of thing, let them do their job, but we all know a lot of crime goes unpunished.

I thought the first movie was fuckin' great. David Della Rocco was excellent. I haven't seen the second yet, because I live in the hick-ass Bible Belt and they don't let in controversial/non-religious films until the last week or two of their running time. Same story with Hamlet 2, Choke and Religulous. These people and their fuckn' superstitions will be the death of me.
