Diablo 3 looks freakin crazy but my zombie of a computer would likely seize if I thought about getting it. Their RTS's are not even compareable to other companies (savage was only competitive in Concept) Starcraft 2 is going to murder.

i just hope they don't make D3 too much like WoW, because i hate WoW. D2 is absolutely amazing, my favorite game of all time. these new classes aren't looking too enticing to me, aside from the witch doctor they're pretty bland.

Diablo doesn't tend to get by on classes as I recall (loved Diablo 2) but more with the enviornment. Its highly prone to hacking, which i hope they do something about, but the expansion they released last time was incredible.

they've brought on the art director from wow and changed up the whole look, although i am excited about the interactive environments. and what are you talking about? the versatility and variety of skill combinations was the best part of d2, class builds and pvp were basically the entire game.

Presumably so they could lord over the other 5 players they couldn't find. To be honest its been quite some time since I played and my memories are a it fuzzy. I could be wildly incorrect with my post earlier.

diablo 3 looks awesome and if their track record is any indication it should run fine on older systems. the main concern will be the minimum video hardware technology required. the current standard is shader 3.0, i don't think you can buy new video cards that don't support it but if you haven't upgraded in a few years you might want to start considering your options. i have to assume you've never played the 'Dawn of War' series or the 'Total War' franchise. both are comparable if not superior. if anything Starcraft owes its existence to Warhammer 40k (the basis for DoW). there's more than just a slight resemblance between the space marines / eldar / tyranids with the terran / protoss / zerg. as for Starcraft 2. it looks really neat. the proposed campaign and upgradable units is cool, it worked really well in Dawn of War 2. the idea of splitting the game into 3 releases *cough*cashgrabs*cough* is pretty effing lame though. in regards to the hacking that's one of the reasons more and more companies are forcing gamers to register and login to some form of online authentication prior to playing even single player. it's also likely the main reason SC2 was announced to have no LAN support. how awesome is that? even if your buddies bring their computers over to your place to game it up everyone still has to log onto a server and hope there's enough bandwidth to go around... thanks fatties / chinese gold farmers. |

I've only played the really old non-RPG Blizzard games.
Lost Vikings (Puzzle platformer), Rock N Roll Racing (Battle racing) and Blackthorne (Cinematic platformer), all underrated classics on the SNES. And Justice League: Task Force which is one of the worst fighting games I've ever played. So yes in fact, they have at least one bad game. Last edited by boo boo; 10-31-2009 at 04:43 AM. |

Yeah, I haven't played their RPGs or RTSs but they look sweet.
I wish they would make a Lost Vikings sequel though, for like the DS or WiiWare or something, that would be kewl. |
