Zombieland

Great film or...the greatest film? Saw it tuesday and wednesday night. I think from start to finish it was brilliant, almost solely because it knew the line between horror and camp and exploited it well. Zombieland never makes pretensions, and it knows what people find funny and it goes for it, unabashedly. Thoughts friends? |
I can't wait to see it and I am pleased with your brief description of it. Too often do I see reviews where critics have stated that the movie has 'avoided the obvious joke', and it often makes me think, why would you want to avoid it?

A pleasant brew of a film. No thought provocation, no ulterior political message, just stupid fun with a ziplock conclusion. So yes I enjoyed it.

I also noticed that Jesse Eisenburg does the Michael Cera shtick better than Michael Cera does. |
Probably my favorite movie this year.
i have friends who really enjoyed it (and have watched it a good 3 times already), so its on the top of my to-watch list.
I saw it monday night all by my lonesome, and it was freakin hilarious... Bill god damn Murray! Those 5 minutes were the best part of the entire film.
i thought it looked stupid from the commercials but ive been hearing good things so i might end up seeing it
My friends saw it, but I still haven't gotten around to seeing it due to my unparalleled laziness. I'll watch it in three years when it's shown on tv.
It turn out to be as good as it was chalked up to be for me. Mr. Murray was brilliant, though.
