Coraline isn't actually a Tim Burton movie, though it certainly looks and feels like one. It's without a doubt one of the most f*cked up (and thus awesome) kids films ever made.

The claymation work on Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline and James and the Giant Peach was all done by Henry Selick. Who is pretty much the claymation equivalent of Miyazaki and one of my favorite animators.

Do you know who did the claymation in Wallace & Gromit? That stuff is genius

I'm not saying he's equal to him, I'm just saying that what Miyazaki does for Japanese animation, Selick does for stop motion.

It's unfair to actually compare them, since Selick has only made 4 movies, the other one being the godawful Monkeybone.

The bolded ones are ones I've seen, the rest are ones I want to see!

Actually I did see part of Princess Mononoke, and though it was good, I had to leave for something else and didn't get to finish

Antonio reminded me:

Anyone else seen this? It's not extremely well known compared to a lot of other animated movies
