Last thing for me was a childrens book about the trials and tribulations of a couple of pigeons that had both only just discovered the power of flight that I created for my girlfriend for Valentines Day. They were scared off the roof of a grey box of flats by a mangey cat, and as they faced their impending doom in the shape of hard concrete, instinct took over and they both flapped their wings and took off into the sky.

With their new-found flying powers they set off to explore the world and found adventure and intrigue wherever they looked.

It had this whole moral backstory that was relevant to my girlfriend at the time, she thought her life was going nowhere and that she had nothing to look forward to, so I used to the pigeons as a metaphor. There WAS something waiting out there for her, she just hadn't looked hard enough.
