Ok, so I did check out Yahoo Games, it's reviews are copied and pasted from Gamespot.

If that's not a tell all sign, I don't know what is.

Yes I get it, you have a life, I don't, for whatever reason you feel compelled to tell me that every 10 minutes which leads me to believe you have no life at all. And do you think you're being clever here?

Well here's some advice, try to be a little creative because it dosen't help your cause when I already knew word for word what you were gonna say before I even clicked the link to this damn thread. Seriously I'm not kidding, I'm dead f*cking serious. I knew EXACTLY what you were gonna say, every word, I wasn't off by even one f*cking word, not even ONE.

EVERY F*CKING WORD!
"Let's be honest, though: The graphics in Atari 2600 games stink by today's standards. Most of the games show your character (a blocky shape) throwing something (a line shape) or wielding a weapon (an arrow shape) to destroy enemies that come in all sorts of geometric variations. Anti-aliasing is nonexistent, the pixels are huge, and the screen will flicker when there are too many sprites on screen. The wire frame vector graphics in games like Tempest and Major Havoc are by far the coolest, and the more advanced games in the "Arcade Classics" section will undoubtedly get the most play time."

Oh dear.

I didn't really like the site, but I never felt like I was reading fanboy rants.
I quite enjoy the Escapist too. I originally just went there for the Yahtzee game reviews however I've found a few columns actually worth reading. Also their write up reviews for games are a lot more fair than the big name websites that boo boo has listed.

Seriously, rating Atari games based on graphics is like rating comic books based on realism.

And plus they don't look at games from the context of when they came out. The 3D Star Wars arcade game was freaking mind blowing when it came out, you just didn't have games that looked like that back in 1983.

Anyone can say "it looks like crap" when judging it by today's standards, but if you're a critic that reviews games that are 20 to 30 years old, judging them by today's standards is stupid and pointless.

GameSpot is hillarious. Just because you don't agree with the reviewers opinions doesn't mean you have to have a stick up your ass about it.

You do realise they're not trying to be right?

Their top seven lists and other light-hearted stuff doesn't really give a sh-t about accuracy and it's all pretty toungue-in-cheeck anyway.
