Avatar (New James Cameron Movie)
 

Has anyone else seen the previews for this? I can't decide if it looks like it will be good or if it looks like it will suck. The fact that it's James Cameron makes me think it might be worthwhile but I have to admit if I saw the preview without knowing who made it I don't think it would be very appealing to me. Thoughts?

The "Australia" of 09. Big ****ing deal.

I bet Australia would've been a better movie if it had some blue people in it.

How is it anyway similar to Australia.......?

Avatar could go anyway to be honest, I have HUGE hopes for it, because it is Jim, but still, the trailer didn't make it look that great, although in 3D....whoa, but yeah we'll see. I mean the Superman Returns teaser is probably my fave teaser ever, but the film sucked, trailers aren't the be all end all.

A mix of Atlantis and The Word For World Is Forest. Could be interesting.

Have you heard anything about what the actual story is? I didn't feel like I got any sense of it from the preview.

Like you say Janszoon, it's Cameron and he's been involved with some rather splendid movies so I believe it will be good. I'm definetly looking forward to it.

Seeing that it is James Cameron (Aliens, The Abyss, The Terminator series, Titanic etc.) I do believe it will be good and do have high expectations.

Does the trailer seem a little lackluster to you though? I has been 12 years since his last movie after all. I'm concerned the man may have lost his touch.
