REC is the first genuinely scary horror I've seen in years.

Hey thanks, I've actually been wanting to see Pan's Labyrinth for a while.

What a shock! Another douchey, nationalist statement made with...yeah, looks like zero facts.

I don't think I've ever seen a film overdubbed in my life. In fact, I see American television dubbed more often in Japan than I've seen anything close to the reverse.

Major films in america are played in cinemas with subtitles, and our DVD's regulalry feature subtitles for other languages. Who told you we're anti-subtitles? Quit showing your unbelieveable bias.

Also, I'm sure Canadian's, since their "americans" too are kinda pissed. They go by the UN and Englands popular music and they got lumped in with us.

I'll say when I hear overdubbing, I immediately think of european countries like Germany, Spain and Holland .. not so much America.

Pan's Labyrinth is a magical film, but doesn't really spring to mind when you say horror. The hand-eyes might be a bit unsettling, but not in a 'horror' way.

I wouldn't call Pan's Labyrinth horror either. It's magically and other-worldly but doesn't really involve any of the significant horror aspects. It's unsettling for sure, though.

Fantastic movie.

I watch movies with subtitles all the time...? Dubbing can get really annoying when you can tell it's off.

I really liked it, it was more like a book than a movie.

Agree and agree! It's a lovely dark fantasy film so I thought I'd throw it out there. I don't really think the Orphanage is a clear cut horror movie either .. more sort of drama-horror.
