inglorious basterds
i held off on the midnite showing thursday,.....told myself i should wait to see it with a friend of mine and not be selfish with the tarantino,......
but now i'm gettin kinda nervous about it,.... anyone see it yet? how was it? |
I believe it is actually spelt 'Inglourious Basterds.' No idea why. But I also am looking forward to seeing it eventually, would love to hear people's opinions.
|
It was good...great story line and acting. Brad Pitt was alittle over the top, but funny. I enjoyed it.
|
Pitt's performance looks campy to the extreme. That being said I still want to see it.
|
I don't want to see it. Because if it's anything like QT's other films, it's an emotionless, substance lacking, pop culture vulture, sake-of-cool piece of garbage that has absolutely no redeeming value to anyone who isn't sated by played out imagery in a pretentious schema.

The t of course stands for "tragically wrong". I know his films aren't truly deep or anything, but I don't think great cinema always has to be. It's not like he ever pretends to NOT be a pop culture junkie who makes movies for pop culture junkies. And that's what his films are for, pop culture junkies, like me. Anyone who is expecting Jean-Luc Godard is clearly gonna be disappointed. |
I'm afraid it's WON'T be like the usual QT movies ... that movie seemed lacking some blood ... but still want to watch it.
|
I haven't seen it yet either but hopefully will get to go over the next few days.

9:20 showing tonight with the bestie and our brother,.....
i'm super jazz hands WITH spirit fingers |
Each scene in it was hit or miss. Some scenes, especially towards the end add nothing. It seems like Quentin Tarantino was trying to out-do the "ear scene" from reservoir dogs in any way he could. Also, the dude who played the "Jew Bear" was terrible, at least when he talked.
But i did enjoy it. It is a very fun movie if your just in the mood to be entertained. |
