Let me ask you this Btown:
What do you think is important to consider when telling the story of Kurt Cobain to a generation that largely never seen him (i.e. those of us 25 and younger)?

In short, he was credited with fronting the big music boom in the early 90's with the album Nevermind (Which took Michael Jackson's "Thriller
off of the number one spot on the Billboard top 200) when Alternative Rock was brought into the mainstream, showing people what else is out there. In 1994 it was widely thought he killed himself but since then conspiracy theories have surfaced and he is the highest grossing dead celebrity. again, in short. |

Thriller, released in 1983, obviously wasn't at number 1 in 1992 when Nevermind hit it. The Michael Jackson album you're thinking of is Dangerous. What the hell, come on. |

and I hope you're joking with that "What the hell, come on." comment. I think Cobain is a very interesting person behind those "Druggy, whiney baby" stories. Last edited by BTown; 07-16-2009 at 10:23 PM. |
