I liked this game also, but I mean, it's basically an offline mmo with freakin' animals, how did this change you? that came off jerkish, when I didn't want it to. I'm just curious and enjoy getting insight on other gamers opinions. |

My top 10 video games.
Super Mario Bros 3 (NES): In my opinion the best Mario game ever. World, 64 and Galaxy were all masterpieces in their own right, but for some reason this one still has the most replay value of any of them. Link to the Past (SNES): My first Zelda game, and the first game I played that truly required a lot of time, effort and strategic planning. Even today, there's still a lot of payoff in this game, there's so much to explore, even after nearly 20 years of play, you still might find something new. Ocarina of Time (N64): One thing I want to accomplish before I die is to finally beat that f*cking water temple. Sonic 3 & Knuckles (Genesis): Sonic 3 and S&K were great on their own but to get the best Sonic experience you have to play the combined game. By far Sonic's finest moment. Star Fox 64 (N64): I'm so bummed I lost my cartridge, I've played this game so many f*cking times, it probably disintegrated. NBA Jam (Genesis): Simple, fun and easy to pick up and play with a friend. What a sports game should be. Street Fighter 2 (Arcade, SNES): Super Street Fighter 2 is the best version IMO. Harvest Moon, Friends of Mineral Town (GBA): The kinda game you don't expext to be a lot of fun, turns out to be the most addictive damn game ever. Super Smash Bros Brawl (Wii): I'm sorry tourney f@gs, I prefer this one to Melee. A big part of it isn't just the gameplay, it's the nostalgia overload. I mean Mario and Sonic in the same game? Hell yeah. This game made me feel like a 9 year old kid again. Super Mario Galaxy (Wii): Not since SMB3 did a Mario game blow me away quite like this did. It's replay value may not be insanely high once you get all the stars, but for those first 242 stars it's one hell of a ride. Honorable mentions: Sonic 2 (Genesis) Goldeneye 007 (N64) Super Mario World (SNES) Yoshi's Island (SNES) Gunstar Heroes (Genesis) Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC) Kirby Superstar (SNES) Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (GC) Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2) Super Mario 64 (N64) WWF No Mercy (N64) Pikmin 2 (GC) The Wind Waker (GC) Pokemon Red & Blue (GBA) Guitar Hero series (PS2, Wii) And too many others to think of. |

I gave up Ocarina of Time for a month when I got there. I gave up Majora's Mask for six months when I got there. I gave up Twilight Princess over a year ago when I got there and have yet to try and attempt it again.

Water levels are generally the most difficult level in any game.
Most especially the Sonic and Mega Man series. |

Worst thing about Mega Man is how he jumps very high underwater, which would be a cool thing if touching the spike covered ceiling didn't mean instant death.
Poor Sonic though, Mario and Kirby can breath and swim underwater, Link can swim but not breath, Mega Man can breath but not swim. Sonic can't do either, and he's so slow. There's nothing more terrifying than playing a water level in a Sonic game and hearing that dreaded drowning music. "F*CK WHERE'S A BUBBLE? I NEED A F*CKING BUBBLE OR I'M GONNA DIE!!!" |

1. Super Tecmo Bowl
2. Tetris 3. Super Mario Bros. 3 4. Mega Man 5 5. Mike Tyson's Punchout 6. R.C. Pro Am 7. 3D World Runner 8. Dr. Mario 9. Super Mario Bros 10. Castlevania 3 I'm an NES guy, I never could figure out Legend of Zelda. I mean, I couldn't figure out the goal of the game, and also how anyone, even someone with no other means of entertainment, could possibly enjoy it.

The fun of the original Zelda was the exploration involved, figuring out what to do on your own, trial and error, as well as coming up with strategies to solve puzzles.
Same goes for the Metroid series. |
