Default True Romance

What a great film, I love it.

And the girl in it is a babe.

wanna elaborate a bit? i thought it was great back in the day, haven't seen it in forever.

don't necessarily agree that the arquette playing lead was a babe, a little too mouse-y for my taste.

brad pitt's scene alone is worth the movie though, offering a bong hit to mobsters while watching cartoons and listening to soundgarden hahahaha

It's far too knowing for it's own good so the characters came across even more OTT than the usual QT film due to Tony Scott's histrionics.

I also have always hated the fact that Slater and Arquette finish happy despite al the carnage and his old man being murdered. Garly Oldman is great though.

both arquette girls are/were babes (imo) and i thought patty did ok. roseanne looked best in her desparately seeking susan days, but somehow still managed to retain just a hint of something while doing a pretty fair job with her role in joe dirt.
somehow in my mind, it (true romance) marks the pinnacle of slater's career. certainly he hasn't done anything as good since. i always thought the title was what they should have called natural born killers. what mickey and mallory had, now that was truly romance.

and the scene with the cops listenin in,.....' i love this guy, he's crazy i ****in love this guy"

did you know the script was split in two and the second part became natural born killers (another fav of mine)

You are right on the money. That scene was so quietly loud--and it left my jaw dropping in respect for his character, giving the final because WTF I'm gonna get whacked anyway...
