That sounds like one of those things you have to change about yourself.

^ SLC Punk is one of my fav movies as well.
idk why but i luv druggie films that glorify self destruction and SLC punk is pretty much about that. Honestly it's not as great as some ppl make it out to be. ive seen it a bunch of times and it's a good movie but alot of ppl over hype it just cause it's a cult favourite. To me it's sorta like Evil Dead 2 both are good movies that some ppl over hype just because they are a quirky cult classic but not everybody is gonna get the genius behind it especially if you didn't watch at the time it was released I feel that way about the 80's flick 'Somekind of Wonderful' that movie also has a little cult following on his own and im part of it

I love it because it sets itself up to be a standard film, then runs in the other direction to become a far stranger and interesting film. Plus it's chick full of great one liners.

i think anyone who has seen the movie can recite Inigo Montoya's famous line or remember the poison swapping scene.

"Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."
I remember seeing that with my friend a few years ago. For weeks afterwards, we would recreate Wesley and Inigo's sword fight. We had every single line memorized. It's still easily my favourite film ever. It just has so much good stuff - the eels, the cliffs, the poison, and of course, the ROUS.
