JFK is probably the best movie ever made, for a number of different reasons.

Here are a few:
1. The cinematography 2. The screenplay in fluidly adapting "On the Trail of the Assassins," "Crossfire," the Warren Commission Report, and other sources, and bringing it all together. 3. The cast 4. The acting 5. Most importantly, the gigantic balls the filmmakers displayed in making a mainstream, widely accessible film that blatantly exposed the truth of how the government works behind the scenes at it's ugliest. I.e. the Central Intelligence Agency engaging in a domestic coup d'etat! The one drawback I would point out is that they didn't quite have the balls to identify George Herbert Walker Bush as one of the conspirators in his role as a CIA operative at the time.

For me, making a film about real life things doesn't necessarily mean it's one of the best films ever made, despite the balls it may show to show the truth. I think JFK is far from the best ever film. |
