Everytime I watch that show it keeps me on the edge of my seat. It has some great moments of suspence. I love the part where Louellen (the cowboy main character guy) is sitting in his dark hotel room and he can hear the scary guy's boots coming and the lights go off and the doorknob hits him in the chest. Hell that makes me jump everytime.

But my favorite part is when he goes back to give the Mexican guy water and he sees the headlights coming up the desert and he knows he's in deep shit then. Oh my heart just sinks for him everytime.

I don't think the movie would have been the same without the scary guy being played by Javier Bardem.

No Country For Old Men, along with Heat is my favourite thriller. Unless I'm missing one out, which I probably am.

But the first time I watched Heat, the feeling I felt was great, so nervous yet excited to see what happened. Same with No Country.

Great choice with Cool Hand Luke. What a classic. Call me old fashioned, but good lord Paul Newman is one good looking specimen in that film.

Besides that your taste in movies suck.
Ratatouille?
Really?

If you like Cool Hand Luke, you ought to check out 'The Hustler' if you haven't already, you might like it. Paul Newman is in his prime in that show too and also has one of my heroes, Jackie Gleason, in it as well. I'll warn you its a black & white and I know that puts alot of people off, but I love it.

I'm very very bored right now (where are all the spammers when you wanna have some fun?), and I kinda did my original list without really thinking about it, so here's my definitive top 10;

American Werewolf In London
I've said before how much I love John Landis' sense of humour in his writing, and it's there for all to see in this one, really doing a lot of good in the horror genre as it does. Plus, 29 years on, the scene where David Naughton turns into a werewolf still looks amazing.

Apocalypse Now
Based on one of my 10 favourite ever books, and this film stands as the perfect example of how book-to-film adaptations should be.

The Blues Brothers
Another one from John Landis, and another one that's been up there for me since I were a nipper. Again, typically great sense of humour in the script and, it goes without saying, superb soundtrack. Another cool thing about this is that all the celebrity cameos are actually really funny as well - it's not like they're just there for the sake of being there or something.

Heat
My pick of the cop-and-robbers movie litter. De Niro and Pacino play either side of the good/bad divide, and both of them are so terrific in their roles and well catered-for by the screenplay that it's of precious few movies where I myself feel as much sympathy for the good guys as the bad guys. The bank robbery scene is one of the best action sequences I've seen too.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
One I loved when I was kid and still do to this day. A big dumb action-adventure flick, sure, but for a start that's not always a bad thing and also it's Denholm Elliot and Sean Connery's presence whch bring so much more to this one. Some of the best action sequences I've ever seen too (like that motorbike chase bit for instance).

Secrets and Lies
One of the most powerful dramas it's ever been my pleasure to watch, and definitely my favourite Mike Leigh film. Timothy Spall puts in an excellent performance too.

The Shining
Jack Nicholson's in it. 'nuff said.

A Streetcar Named Desire
The one starring Marlon Brando, and another drama I'd put among the best of them. Famed among playwrights as a 'how to' when it comes to writing for the stage, and it doesn't lose the slightest bit of its impact on the big screen.

Tokyo Story
Officially my favourite product of Asian cinema. I don't think any other story, whether on film or not, has managed to tug at the heartstrings as much as this one. Absolutely brilliantly-written stuff.

Unforgiven
Best western ever. Clint plays a truly fascinating character, and Gene Hackman does a wonderful job playing the corrupt old bastard that he does here. Gotta love that ending too.
