Punch Out (all incarnations)
Like any other 7 year old male in 1989, Nintendo was a mind blowing experience and one of the most enduring franchises was Mike Tyson's Punch Out.
I remember playing in the dead of the night when I first rented it from the local video store, being slightly terrified by the music that preceded each fighter (Especially Piston Honda). I never got very far in the game myself, but I spent my summers and the Boys and Girls Club and watched kids with older brothers wail on Mike Tyson/Mr. Dream (post-rape allegation). When it came out on SNES, I played it until my fingers bled, and I actually killed the whole thing myself. Even if Mr. Sandman had me stuck for 2 months. I just noticed they released one for the Wii, and I'm wondering if anyones played it. Talk about anything Punch Out-y you'd like.

I think I saw that one when I was in Santa Cruz a few years ago at their old arcade. I didn't have any change with me at the time so I couldn't play it but I distinctly remember seeing it.

Proof that sometimes the oldest and simplest games are still the most fun to play.
