The new season premier is on the 8th, I'm so excited. :love:

I dug it for awhile and now I think it's going to far. Now if it were Arrested Development ...

The concept of the show is funny and I like the humor. I've never seen Arrested Development.

How much seasons are already out? I'm not too big of a TV fan but I do watch Weeds and Dexter.

I don't watch TV either. I use the internet, library and friends' collections. I think there are three seasons out. A movie is in the making, I'm pretty sure.

Love Weeds, I have watched it religiously since episode 1. Cant wait for the new season. Im getting cable just in time.

I really liked the first season but my opinion of the show slowly started to dwindle as it took a darker approach. I can appreciate the fact that they're focusing on the realism that is the drug dealing world, but I think the change was very sudden. Also I was extremely sympathetic with Nancy at the beginning of the show but that slowly started to change as well when it seemed like she was just ****ing every guy on the show. I stopped watching about halfway through season 3, but I think I may download season 3 and 4 and give them a spin because I really want to like the show again. I liked how they were really starting to flesh out Shane's character (my favorite on the show) so if I like where they're going with him then perhaps I'll have a new reason to watch.

^ YES I love Shane. Especially his graduation speech! I, too, slowly began losing sympathy for Nancy. AND I thought the other Botwin wife was kind of ... I don't know a space-filler. I watch all the episodes from here.

Shane graduation speech was so hilarious and now Nancy is Pregnant and Doug and Silus are both moving to Mexico to grow and distribute weed by themselves. Basically the jump from 4 to 5. Sorry for the spoiler.

It's just you. Her face seems more sunken in after Season 1. I like my girls with some meat!

Weeds is a cool show - I'm looking forward to its return as I have no current shows to watch atm.

I bought the boxset of seasons over here in China (obvo pirated from the streets) and fell in love with it. If i was over in UK, i would'nt of known about it. Everytime i try and get one of my mates to watch they go "so its a gardening show".

I didnt like Nancy at first, but now i think shes awesome. The ending to last season was such a cliffhanger. Cant wait to see what happens next.

I thought last season wasn‘t that great, the whole leaving the suburbs idea just kinda doesn’t seem right to me but I guess they have to branch out sometime.

yeah I agree with you on that. At first I was like eh, I'll give it a try with them being down in mexico but it just never gelled with me over the course of the season. Hopefully in this season coming up she will be going back and forth more often. Going back to check up on her suburbian empire that she's creating.

I just got seasons 1 and 2 because they were on sale. It's pretty good. I was expecting more based on what I've heard about it. I've also heard it starts to get pretty ridiculous, so I'm waiting for that...

Season 2 was the peak IMO. They had alot of good material. Season 3 seemed like they were digging deep for stuff. Kevin Nealon's character has never had a big enough role in the show, although they tried in season 3. Giving him and Andy about 1/3 of the screen time. Bottom line this should be a 1 hour show with a bigger production budget and it would be awesome.

p.s. They need to get back to the roots of hte show, its about weed.

My gripe so far is that we don't really get anywhere. Each character has a separate plot line that they cover every episode, and so they chop it down to like 5 minutes on each character per ep... so not much really happens in that short span. I'm almost done with the first 2 seasons, and I feel like I've watched a time span of maybe a week play out.

Well part of that is because every episode is only 30 minutes.

Yeah I think Weeds should move to an hour format, I mean it's on Showtime so you're paying the money to get that channel, you should at least get an hour worth of programing.

Definitely could be longer. At the same time- shows like The Office have a 30-minute window and are able to accomplish a lot in that time span. Weeds is a good show regardless, but I imagine Showtime could do even better...

I always like the time when he called out cynthia at the school drug day. That was pretty awesome. But jacking off in the banana is pretty good too.

I love Weeds, I rented the first 2 seasons on netflix and have finally cought up with the other two seasons. Unfortunately I don't have whatever channel it comes on so I'll have to wait for next season on DVD. My favorite scenes are the one with Shane smacking the most popular kid in the face with his food tray, and Nancy holding a knife to Celia's neck, after she had like three other people try to extort her and just told her to **** off or she'd kill her. Nancy is a bad ass.

I loved Weeds when I first started watching it not too long ago.
People warned me that it went downhill after a while, and it did. Specifically after Nanslutty moved out of Agrestic. I finished watching the rest of it though, out of sheer boredom.

Then I came across the best TV show I've seen in a very long time... Dexter. I cleaned through all the available seasons and completely forgot about Weeds.

As for the Weeds vs Dexter thing, I've yet to see Dexter but I think Weeds did go downhill a bit in the last season or so - it suddenly became less lighthearted and a lot more serious. I used to like Doug but now he just pisses me off. Although the "I like the gypsy look you've got going on there Celia... do you wanna lick my crystal balls?" scene was funny.

it has definitely gone super dramedy on us. i'm not sure if i like it less though. the show was never my favorite of all time or anything. just a nice escape. and i agree doug has become very unlikable.

yeah, doug is really stupid, Andy is the man though, the whole, go Rabi to avoid the military was genious, even though it didn't work haha. The scene with him finally in the military was ridiculous, did not see that coming

I've not been able to watch Dexter, but I've heard nothing but good things.
