I think it's just you. I thought the episode was amazing, definitely my favorite of this season so far and easily one of my favorites of the series overall. I've been dying to know more about Richard for a long time and after all that anticipation I'm really impressed that his story was handled so well.

i concur. awesome episode!
i have a question - the second the man in black told ricardo "its good to see you out of those chains", a little bell rang. i think that he told him the same thing in a previous episode, while wearing Locke's body. anybody remember this? what was the context? my only complaint lately is that i can't remember which characters were in which timeline, who knows what. it seems to me that Sun should know by now that Jin is still alive. and i was surprised when in this episode Jack knew nothing of the new Locke. it's hard to keep track of all the time travel and such...

The Richard episode was great, it confirmed a few theories I've had for a very long time. Did anyone catch on to the fact that the Black Rock captain's name was Magnus Hanso? The name of the guy who funded the Dharma Initiative was Alvar Hanso. Apparrently it's been confirmed that they are related, I wonder if that will come into play in the future.
I'm curious over what other characters will be focused on next, I don't think it's necessary for any character to get get more than one focal episode, except maybe another for Kate or Sawyer to see how their flash sideways turns out. Curious if Widmore, Frank and Ilana will get their own episodes, hopefully we'll get one for Evil Locke. I also hope Desmond makes a return appearance, I see it being likely because the actor who plays him continues to have his name in the credits of every episode so far this season. One thing I was just thinking about that really impressed me about the Richard episode was Smokey's acting. He and the guy playing Locke must be studying each other's notes because they are both doing an excellent job of seeming like the same guy in different bodies.

Yeah I thought the same thing.
IMO Terry O'Quinn (who plays Locke) is the best actor of the whole bunch, he's been in the business for a good while before Lost. You might know him best from The Stepfather, he was awesome in that. |
