pff it's been available for download for days. if you don't get it when it comes out and come here reading this thread you shouldn't expect to be disappointed.
I watched all the other series pretty much as they aired, so I can hardly even remember what's happened. I was pleased with this episode. not the best, but yeah, you can tell there's a picking up of the pace. my only gripe this whole time is that we don't know what the goal or ending of this story is meant to be - everything's so messed up, with all the number shiz and seemingly random self-references throughout the series - there's no discernible point. before it was getting off the island, what is it now? kill the dude in black? I want them to clear up all the mysteries so there is something to look forward to. we've been watching 5 seasons of "wtf is going on?"

isn't the clearing up of the mysteries exactly the thing we're looking forward to?
the people in the island don't even know what their goal is. how should we?

the writers didn't even know what the goal was until the decision to stop after season 6. season 3 was the worst. after the premier I don't think there's much to look forward to, or believe they can get every detail in time.... unless they really pick it up.

WTF
I thought Season 3 was really f*cking good, the premiere taught us a lot about the others and IMO it opened on a pretty awesome twist, it did take an awful long while to really get going, but once it did holy sh*t, IMO it had the best season finale ever. Though the one with Bai Ling in it was argubly the worst episode of the show. I don't get the complaints about 6th season premiere at all, I thought it was awesome and it explained a lot. Yeah, usually when the show uses CGI it's decent and not too distracting but that underwater CGI scene was terrible.
Still I like that this show is made on a budget, that they shoot on location and build real life size sets. Few shows still do that. |

I've always thought the CGI on Lost, including the most recent episode, was pretty good. It's not as good as some blockbuster movie or anything but it's still damn good for a TV show.

The Black Smoke looks fantastic. They use CG very sparingly and only when nessicary, which I greatly appreciate. Certain set pieces aren't even noticable as CG because they've built a real set surrounding it. The only things i've ever had problems with have been the Submarine submerging last season and this season's unnessicarily flashy underwater sequence.
