BELOW HERE EXIST SPOILERS
I am happy with the episode. But I am really upset that it seems John Locke is dead for good. He was such a great character, I hate that he ended the way he did. I'm also sad that Juliet, who was one of my favorite characters died - ecspecially after they made it seem like she would live. As for the multi-universe type thing going on all I can say is WTH?! But that's normal with this show. I'm also happy it seems questions are being answered quickly. |

I don't want some alternate Locke, though you know? I want the real badass yet wise MF'r from Season 1, 3 and 4 back. They need to hurry up and dump his body in that Fountain-of-youth thing. Speaking of that... I'm going to go ahead and assume that pond has something to do with why Richard doesn't age.

Probably. I'm wondering if the people in the temple might all be ageless. |

Speaking of that - why is Cindy such a seemingly high ranking member of them now? She was a bitch! And when will that Ana Lucia knock-off bite the bullet? I was waiting for it all last season - her character is so bland and annoying it makes me want to see Ben take a knife to her or something.

I don't care what anyone says, I considered Juliet to be my favorite female character, her actress could be considered rather robotic but I actually consider that an important aspect of her character, it made her rather creepy in her earlier appearances.
I am however a bit confused by her motivations from the last season finale, she gets killed off simply because... she changed her mind? Uh.... WHY? Didn't she want to stop Jack at first? It was her idea to break out of the submarine and return to the island, but all because she realised that Sawyer still has a thing for Kate (GASP) she suddenly changes her stance completely? I never bought that, I mean I understand what the writers were probably thinking, she didn't want to get replaced by Kate or whatever, which I don't think was gonna happen anyway. Juliet was unique among the female characters because she was actually capable of extended periods of rational thought and not prone to letting her emotions get the best of her... and yet they had to kill her off in such a totally uncharacteristic and stupid way. It's downright f*cking obvious this was something they hadn't planned and it was a rushed decision because Juliet's actress wanted to do V. Also, I was pretty damn sure Juliet died instantly in the season finale. But then in the new episode they get me excited making me think she would survive... only to have her die mid sentence without any indication that was that fatally wounded. Talk about a f*cking tease, and a very cruel one. That's my biggest problem with the writing, the writers aren't always prepared for when an actor wants to leave the show and they'll kill the characters off in totally random ways. I mean, I still think they are f*cking full of sh*t about killing Ana Lucia and Libby off not being some spur of the moment response to their actors getting DUIs. I mean how in the f*ck was Libby's death planned? They kept hinting at her backstory, and then they killed her off and never f*cking bothered to explain it. Assh*les. Walt was a big f*ck up too, they made him such an important plot element and then..... he disappeared, and all because it never crossed their mind that the actor was gonna get older? Jesus, just get another f*ckng actor it's not like we really care. This sh*t needs to be explained. Last edited by boo boo; 02-03-2010 at 04:33 AM. |

What could be more confusing than time travel? Alternate universes, of course...
My prediction: Sayid is Jacob reincarnated. The same way Locke is the Man in Black reincarnated. That is why it was so important to save Sayid. Also, given that we now KNOW that the Man in Black IS the Smoke Monster, what does that reflect on the whole series? Going back to the very first episode, what do his actions mean? Lets think on what he has done: -He kills Mr. Eko -He tries to kill John Locke -He listens to Ben and kills Whidmore's men -He kills the pilot What does it all mean? |

I'm not saying Sun and Kate are stupid, but they are prone to doing stupid things, and sometimes it defies explaination. Eloise is not what I had in mind as I was talking about the protagonists. Ana Lucia was pretty smart though, her actress is kinda annoying but I found her to be an interesting character. This Ilana chick though does seem like a Ana Lucia wannbe, I have no idea where this character is heading, but that's what makes this a fun show. |
