I wouldn't know, I played Mario Kart Double Dash years ago and very briefly. I just don't see how Double Dash would be better. Mario Kart Wii has updated tracks as well as tracks from past systems, more control options, better graphics, online play, bikes. The game is beautiful. I guess I'd have to play DD extensively to judge.

That's exactly what my next question was going to be. I just bought a GC controller and a couple used games pretty cheap but I'm realizing that I think I need to buy a memory card or else I can't save my progress in the games. Does anyone know if that's true? Do I have to buy a GC memory card or is that some way to save my games on the Wii?

Also if I have to buy a memory card does anyone have any recommendations for what kind? There seem to be some different ones out there.

You don't, there's a little door on the top of the wii with outlets for GC controllers.

And yes you need memory cards.

Hey, here's the guy I've been waiting for! Any suggestions on games I should check out?

Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Mario Kart: Double Dash, Metroid Prme 1 & 2, Soul Calibur II, Pikmin II, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, Super Mario Sunshine, Animal Crossing.

There's also Super Smash Bros Melee, which some people think is better than Brawl, these people are totally wrong and batsh*t insane of course, but it's still a great game, I'd skip it though if you already have Brawl, and if you don't then I'd recommend you get it instead.

Cool. I actually bought Metroid Prime 1 and Super Mario Sunshine today so I'm glad to hear they come highly recommended. :) I'll be sure and look for some of those others next time I'm looking for games.

The store I was at also had Pikmin II, which I had read good things about, but for whatever reason it was way, way more expensive than all the other games so I didn't pick it up.

So what's the deal with Animal Crossing II? I keep hearing about it but I don't think I understand exactly what it is.

Super Mario Sunshine is largely considered the weakest of the Mario platformers. But it's in good company and even if Sunshine is the weakest, it's still pretty awesome.

What you're talking about is the new AC game for the Wii. From what I've heard about it it's not much more than a standard update of the GC game. So go for the GC original cuz it's cheaper.

And make sure to get Pikmin II not the first Pikmin. The second is better because there's more to do and there's no annoying time limit for how long you can play the game, also there's two player battle mode which is cool.

Only beef I have about the game is that it has you controlling two characters but there's no option for 2 player co-op. A missed opportunity.

yeah^Super Mario Sunshine is a really good game

Super Smash Bros, the first Metroid Prime, and if you're looking for kind of a challenge, Viewtiful Joe

I love Super Mario 2. I actually like it more than the first one to tell the truth.
