Yeah the Empty Spaces scene was easly the best part of the movie. Scarfe's animation is amazing and it goes perfectly with the music.

Love the movie. Saw it on the big screen when it first came out while mildly tripping on mescaline.
If you haven't yet, check out the video of the concert Waters did in Germany after The Berlin Wall came down. He did the entire Wall album with all of the props and loads of guest artists. Props to Thomas Dolby for his bit - that took some major gonads.
