I loved Thomas the Tank Engine (Thomas toget in norwegian) I don't know what the boat is called, but we have a norwegian equivalent or spinoff which is called "Elias".

My favourite was definetly the Transformers. I think I can still remember just about all the dialogue from Transformers: The Movie, also from 1986 like the pony movie. It could perhaps deserve a proper mention in this thread, but I don't think it's actually underrated!

Literary allusions + smart black people + F. Murray Abraham + Sean Connery = awesome movie. It was given good reviews, but never hit it big at the award shows or the box office.

i thought he was really good in Matchstick Men. has been in a bit of a slump lately though.

One of my favorites of his. Adaptation is his purest acting performance. Anyone who says anything bad about Cage... watch that movie.
