Man, one of the most depressing movies ever but very good. Also proof positive that, despite a sizable number of bad movies to his name, Nicholas Cage is an excellent actor when he wants to be.

Everytime I watch this movie I feel like I could have a seizure any second...there's too many colors and flashing lights. Either that or I'm just that old now that it's annoying.

just look at that stellar cast?! Seriously this did the rounds when I were a nipper and it f*cks you up, it should have been rated 15. Deeply disturbing psychodrama if you are between the ages of 1 and 5 |

^Oh God, I know I saw that one when I was a kid, but I can't remember any details. I'm sure all sorts of weird memories would float to the surface if I ever try and watch it.
My little pony is embarassing though. I prefer Transformers, He-Man, Thundercats or GI Joe!

I only ever saw Thundercats before school with a bowl of coco pops, the others passed you by if you weren't on point with your Saturday morning cartoon schedule... It is mainly just the girly sh*t I remember really vividly! Care Bears was another one.
I had a He-Man spaceship toy though that I broke to pieces and used the tubular part as a robotic arm Do they/ did they have Thomas the Tank Engine overseas? And you get extra brownie points if anyone can remember the name of the series produced by the same company, but it was about talking sentient tugboats with faces instead of steam engines with faces. Actually just ignore my rampant nostalgia *goes back to corner* |

I loved Thomas the Tank Engine (Thomas toget in norwegian) I don't know what the boat is called, but we have a norwegian equivalent or spinoff which is called "Elias".
My favourite was definetly the Transformers. I think I can still remember just about all the dialogue from Transformers: The Movie, also from 1986 like the pony movie. It could perhaps deserve a proper mention in this thread, but I don't think it's actually underrated!

Strangely I find this film very uplifting. He had an idea about the way he wanted to live his life and he followed it through and that ending is poetry. I realise I am probably one of the odd few that feel this way. I think i's a brilliant film and couldn't help but fall for Elisabeth Shue.
