This sort of thing was very popular back in the 80`s where Chuck Norris was a huge video star, kind of like a poor man`s Sylvestor Stallone. I guess watching this now, anybody would realise just how bad these films were.

This 90 minute Nintendo advertisement thinly disguised as a movie.

I have a sneaking suspicion the audio samples from Cutsman by HORSE the Band were from this movie.

it was also the first time most kids would get a chance to see Super Mario Brothers 3 in action for a few minutes before it was released and therefore one of the greatest movies at the time for its target market. there's no way in hell it was going to age well though, but was ABSOLUTELY GLORIOUS for a summer.

Haha, I never saw that movie but I do remember when it came out. I was so excited by the glimpses of Super Mario 3 in the previews!

It's also chop full of inaccuracies that any ranting video game nerd like myself would love to constantly point out to the annoyance of anyone unfortunate enough to watch this movie with me.

This film does have some pretty memorable moments. Like when a young Jenny Lewis (yes the future Rilo Kiley frontwoman, that Jenny Lewis) gets a man arrested by accusing him of mollesting her.

Oh yeah, and this film also played a vital role in popularizing one of the most infamously broken NES peripherals. THE POWER GLOVE!
