Actually, despite a launch of non-notable games (Sonic Adventure being the big exception) it did pretty damn well at first, but people stopped being in anticipation for the other consoles, and Sega's tarnished reputation from their previous failures hurt sales as well. It had nothing to do with the consoles quality, which was superior to anything before it and it had a good library for a console that only lasted 2 and a half years.

Anyway, I vote for the invisible Wii option, since (a) it actually has games for it and (b) it actually works. |

A better way of putting it is that while the Wii has more crap than either of the other consoles combined, it also has at least 3 time as many games as PS3 does, which you know, adds up to a couple of dozen, that's a lot.
If you want mass quantity of good games, get the 360. If you want a modest library of good and cheap games, some that are unique and some that are old retro standbys, get the Wii. If you want an overpriced 11 lb paperweight with a DVD player on it, get the PS3. |

Personally, I like the 360 over the PS3. Both consoles are good in their own way, I just like the games and the online set up on the 360 better then the PS3's. I don't care if you have to pay for it, the extra features are worth it, although I still wholeheartdly agree that Microsoft is really greedy with their content, charging me for expansions and content that is given to most Pc gamers for free. I dislike Microsoft, but I do admit that they make good products such as the 360, but the constant crap you have to put up with is frusterating.
The 360 is just the only console out there that me and all of my friends have, has the games that we all like to play (Halo3, Left 4 Dead, Shadowrun, and a variety of other games). I know many would prefer the Pc over both, and I would like to get more into Pc gaming, but I don't have the money to get a good gaming Pc or upgrade the current one I have, and I can't expect my friends to do the same thing either and would rather play with them. I still do like to play some Pc games though, the ones that my computer can run such as the Orange Box. Plus there is one thing that console gaming will always have over Pc games: Splitscreen. Splitscreen allows for me and my friends to get together and play together, especially when some of us don't have the money to dish out for every new game. I would never be able to play Left 4 Dead with all of my friends without splitscreen. Maybe its not a big deciding factor for others, but games with Splitscreen make a huge difference for me. |

most people that have a 360 have halo, halo is probably the biggest game for the 360 guitar hero is close to it though, i still say the ps3 is better for sports like games and 360 is better for action

I own an xbox 360 but I voted for PS3 because well... they don't break down nearly as much as the 360. Other than that I have to agree with Yahtzee when he said that this generation of consoles is the most balanced and it comes down to your own personal preferences.
