I like That 70's Show pretty well.

khfreek 03-02-2009 07:50 PM

I like That 70's Show as well, nothing special but it gives a few good chuckles.

Lost and Heroes are much easier targets :\

anticipation 03-02-2009 09:22 PM

Murder She Wrote. Pile of steaming turtle shat.

LOST

in a maze of poor-quality television drama and endless plot twists for the short 21st century attention span, you are.

I was going to say the last 10 years of the Simpsons but I don't think anybody overrates them

jackhammer 03-03-2009 10:51 AM

I cannot stand the simpsons. Probably the only guy on the planet to have that opinion.

About as funny as your genitals turning mouldy.

boo boo 03-03-2009 11:16 AM

Everyone hates that show now though.

Urban Hat€monger ? 03-03-2009 11:18 AM

I hated it when it started as well so it's allowed.

I have a theory about that show that Angela Lansbury's character is actually a serial killer. It's the only explanation for why people around her, no matter where she goes, are constantly getting killed. If only they had made that the premise of the final episode it could have redeemed the entire crappy series. :D

Nah. These days I totally agree. There was a time though, in the mid to late 90s, that it was hilarious.

Ive never known anyone that hates it, even on here just about everyone here seems to like it.

swim 03-03-2009 06:57 PM

That 70's show might be overrated but at least it's good.

the first few seasons are hilarious, probably peaked around season five or so. i haven't heard the last two or three, season fifteen kind of ruined it for me.

there was a nagging innocence about the simpsons that got cut to shards every episode. i think that's what's preserved itself for me; i can look back after watching it for ten years and laugh at something i obviously didn't catch the first time around because i was so young. and even still, you can see the thinly veiled dark humor that the writers crafted perfectly.

Double X 03-03-2009 07:45 PM

The Office. It was legitimately unfunny the whole episode.

Wanna bang that redhead though.

How many TV shows mention Lou Reed, eh? :p:

And seeing as how I love redheads, I concur with that statement.

dac 03-03-2009 08:39 PM

That 70s Show is great. It, along with Scrubs, is a show that never gets old. I don't count the last season where Eric isn't in it though. That was just awful.

boo boo 03-03-2009 08:45 PM

When the redhead dyed her hair my main reaction was "f*ck this sh*t".

The show had one thing going for it, a hot redhead, and then she dyes her hair blonde, lame.

How the hell is Lost poor quality? Watch any other ****ing TV drama and you'll see that Lost is not only better acted, it is better written and directed. Short attention span? Do you have ANY ****ING IDEA ABOUT HIS SHOW!? You have to clear so much room in your brain for all the plot lines that anyone with an even mildly short attention span would stop watching it. And another thing, you didn't nessicarily say this, but I must address this common critisisism of the show: Lost is a ****ing MYSTERY show, I hate it when people try to say its no good because they "don't get answers". You give away all the answers and you have no show. **** you!

Okay sorry, I'm calm now... I have nothing against you personally.. but say one more thing about Lost and they'll be trouble! :bringit:

boo boo 03-03-2009 09:20 PM

Woah woah woah, cool it down mang. I'm the biggest Lost fanboy around, but it's not like he shot your dog.

*taking deep breaths*

Your right. He doesn't know what he's missing. By the way I'm loving season 5, it's got a totally different feel than previous seasons but I can sense the end coming.

Double X 03-03-2009 09:34 PM

Last week's episode made Ben so much cooler, if possible.

someonecompletelyrandom 03-03-2009 09:41 PM

Hey now, I like Mr. Locke...

boo boo 03-03-2009 09:45 PM

Ben is such an awesome character, though it has become somewhat of a running gag that everything he says is pretty much a lie.

Urban Hat€monger ? 03-03-2009 10:25 PM

The only thing wrong with Lost is that it's series 5 now & nobody has put a bullet through Jack or Kate's heads.

Oh and more Desmond please.

I like Jack, though him still being a skeptic even after SEEING the damn island disapear is pretty hard to believe.

And Kate can be pretty annoying, she is by far the most stubborn character in the show. She never listens to what anybody says regardless of how obvious it is and it's like she complicates things just for the hell of it.

And yeah, Desmond is the man.

i can go on and on with that aslong as you reply :thumb:

I never understood the appeal of desmond on lost. His stories have always been just confusing. Though I must admit, Lost as a whole has become quite fucked up imo. The first seasons were great, all these secrets and how the group discovers more of the island step by step. Now it's a big mess imo, with all those weird physical phenomenons. Actually, Desmond as a charcter was originally an indication of the direction Lost would take, and I don't like it. Though of course there had to be some solution to all the things that happened, so yeah

To contribute something to the topic:
I never liked Home Improvement, but many of my friends did. so, yeah, it's overrated damnit!
