I know it wasn't a major plot point, that's what bugs me so much about it. They didn't HAVE to make it a polar bear or anything, but they did, totalling defying common sense.

The polar bear arrived right at the beginning of the shows run and was to illustrate that there was something not quite right about the island they crashed on.
I think it succeeded on that point.

It's supposed to be confusing and not make sense, the island is supposed to be this crazy thing that requires suspension of disbelief.

Even MadTV's Lost parodies were funnier. |
