Yeah, those two and Ratatouille are my three favorite Pixar movies. Both Toy Story movies are up there too.

There's something about Ratatouille that I can't get into. I have seen it about three times but I prefer Flushed Away if it's a CGI film with mice!

One of the things I like about Ratatouille is how different it feels from other Pixar movies, but if it isn't your bag then it probably just isn't your bag.

I agree Flushed Away was great too but then I'm a pretty big fan of Aardman in general.

Yeah, maybe not that good. I mean the first half was spectacular. The sense of isolation was more than I expected out of a supposed kid's movie, but Pixar has better.

I read that the whole reason for that was because of all the water in the movie. They just couldn't get it to do what they wanted with clay so they wound up going with CGI. It's funny because it still looks very much like an Aardman movie even though it's not claymation.

Are you kidding me?

The idea that the world is one day gonna be a deserted wasteland and the human race will evolve into giant lazy blobs?

That's hardly what I call a typical kids movie message.

You're not judging it from a kids perspective.

What may be broad and simplified to you, is f*cking mind blowing to an 8 year old.
