Wow, I'm glad I don't work in a video store anymore or else I would seriously slap the face of the parent getting that video for their kid... probably their kid too just for good measure.

It's just a kids film. I wouldn't say it was overrated (I haven't seen it) but the criteria is a film being well thought of by critics and/or the populace. I should imagine this is neither.

it was a good counter though still nobody rates talking animal flicks (live action ofcourse, standard anthropomorphism in animation)... i know they are kids films but it's still the most reviled subgenre i can think of.
Look Who's Talking *shudder* actually Babe was quite good. Well when I saw it as a nipper at least |

I cannot stand the 'talking animals' genre too unless it's animation. The latest travesty seems to be 'Marley & me' that is everywhere over here on TV etc. It looks bloody awful.
