I have a friend who didn't like it. He's a huge sci fi fan, but just was indifferent to Ender's Game. Of course, he also doesn't like comic books, LOTR or any fantasy (including Elder Scrolls), or even Joss Whedon shows. I'm considering murdering him and burying him in my backyard.

I didn't care much for Enders Game and when I learned more about Orson Scott Cards stance on homosexuality I really didn't feel that compelled to go back and try it out again. Funnily enough I really couldn't get into the LOTR books or any Joss Whedon show outside of Firefly and the first few seasons of Buffy.

Guess I'm one of those fake geek girls I've been hearing so much about

I've been on a Woody Allen binge lately, the majority of his films are amazing but these are some that really stuck with me after watching them recently

And that comment alone has got me checking out the trailer and interested as well

I'm really looking forward to it, it's just a question of setting aside everything I have to do to sit down and read a book! I read a lot more when I'm on trains, buses and the like, so I might just book a trip to Newcastle and back one day just so I can get this read!

It's a sticking point alright, and I know there are certain lobbyists who are calling on people to boycott the movie.

And on a different note, as for Joss Whedon, couldn't agree more. Loved Firefly to bits (I hated Serenity though, but different story, different time I guess), thought Buffy had its moments, and I did really enjoy Cabin In the Woods too. Otherwise he just doesn't interest me...seems like a stuffy prick in the Firefly dvd extras too.

Crimes and Misdemeanours was fantastic, but even being something of Woody Allen fan, I never really got into Husbands and Wives. Wasn't a bad film, by any stretch, just that nothing really stuck with me about it.

The Purple Rose Of Cairo and Stardust Memories are my favourites of his - should really watch those if you haven't already.

Dick or not, I sure as hell am gonna see it. If I can listen to Burzum then I can watch/read Ender's Game. So long as thinking about their douchiness doesn't ruin my enjoyment, then it's all good as far as I'm concerned.

I'm really looking forward to this.

I was wondering how they would explain the whole thing about the black armor.

One major complaint though, if this movie ends up being rated PG-13. I'm going to be pissed.

^i am on the polar opposite side of this one

other than the fact that ED-209 is in it....i think it looks horrible

and even there i am positive there will not be a 15 second long scene of ed-209 plugging a guy with bullets

as far as Ender's Game and Card's moronic views...he's a fucking Mormon...what did you expect?

everything i keep reading about the movie is how much they really paid attention to detail and that their main goal is to have fans of the book walk away satisfied
