Since it was announced I expected a modern day masterpiece, and I still expect that. High hopes? Maybe. But I've just had a feeling from day one that it's going to be something special, and I've only heard good things about it. If I'm wrong, and it's just a good film.. then I'll settle for that. But I think it's gonna be a real special piece of work. 5 days now.

One movie that I badly want to see is Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and I know the reception is mixed but since this forum has a good deal of fellow Gilliam fans I'm curious to know what people think of it and how it compares to his other work and weither or not it's a step in the right direction for him when considering how mediocre Brothers Grimm was and Tideland (which I haven't seen but want to out of curiousity) which everyone seems to consider the worst thing he's ever done.

I saw it. It's not as bad as Tideland but also not very good. It felt like he had a good initial idea and then decided to wing it as he filmed it and it turned sour...too meandering, too pointless.

Anything above 90% and is great, and it's all subjective anyway. Though film critics do know a good film from a bad film, only 3 days to wait before I can stop basing it on bits and bobs I've read and a score on RT/metacritic. So excited
