The trailer isn't great but as you say, the cast is top notch and I like to support UK cinema when I can.

Nowhere Boy

Nowhere Boy is a film about John Lennon's childhood and adolescence [3] and the feature film directorial debut of director Sam Taylor-Wood.

^ Donno... he needed some love all through his life. This guy's too messed up to get all of it in one film, depicting only a very brief part of his life. O they could stretch it to his meeting Paul at 17, who also had recently lost his mom.
Anyway, it's a very hard movie to make, I'll be anticipating it now that I know it exists.

Both of the actors are from down south, so they'll have to get the accent right for a start. It may be a hard movie to make but I hope they do it justice, it's the directors first feature film, and she's 42 and she's pregnant with the star (19 years of ages) baby. Strange.

But yeah, if it goes down well, maybe a trilogy. Early life, rise to fame, death.

Well not much going on in his life other than him being messed up, depressed and feeling unloved... while he himself isn't giving much love to anyone else. I guess his life would be separated in two chapters, before Yoko and after Yoko... He didn't change much before, during or after The Beatles.

I hope the accent won't ruin it, that would be dumb. Didn't get her whole pregnancy, but who am I to judge... as for now, the poster suggests one of those feel good movies, that got a decent dialogue. Let's wait and see then.

But aren't these British 60s music films increasing this last year? I still have to watch the Joe Meek film, and I'm still waiting for Pirate Radio to be released...

Yeah I suppose it could be a 2 part thing, it just depends on the popularity and how far they take it, I think it goes up to them forming The Beatles. The next one could be Hamburg etc and like you said meeting Yoko. But if they did the second one, would they need to change the actor? He's only 19 so to play John in his life when he's older.. Hmm

I'm worried they'll over do the accent, the accent itself is quite easy, I can do a Scouse accent but it's really stereotypically alright laa type Scouse. I just hope they manage to get the accent right.

I've noticed a few music bio type films coming out, there's another one out, sex & drugs & rock & roll. Not too fussed about it myself though.

I want to be excited for this one, but I can't. It sort of looks like it's just going to be another "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", and that would be terrible.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory had some pretty good moments, although it's really not one of the best Tim Burton movies. I think that Alice is going to be ok, if nothing else, the pictures are going to be pretty to watch
