Yeah MMM is pretty good, at least the first season, it goes kind of down hill a bit after that and is generally a throwaway show, but it's a pleasant enough time-waster.

Well that sucks. Luckily I'm no analyst so maybe I won't notice.

It still hasn't gotten to the point of sucking, although by the end of season 3 I was starting to wonder what all this is about. Considering it's kind of a drama with some funny bits.
Not sure if you have Netflix but for some fun lady-fronted (pure) comedy, Crazy-ex girlfriend is the shizz. Plus, unlike MMM, it's finished so you can binge out.

I quit MMM early in season 2, but I have little patience with series. Season 1 was pretty fun, and Rachel Brosnahan is charming as hell

![]() So I'm watching The Stranger on Netflix, which is an 8 part limited series (about 45 min each) and it is addictive as hell. Not sure if it will wrap up nicely in the end since there are a LOT of things going on, but it's a very tense yet fun ride so far (having seen 5/8 episodes). Recommended for anyone into mysteries.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. ????
And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid ![]()

![]() Sorry, had to, man! ![]() Almost finished Zerozerozero, and could you get a more multi-national, cosmopolitan show? English, Spanish (Mexican), France, Italian and I think possibly some African language too (some of it is shot in Senegal) - lots of subtitles, lots of interweaving plots - the motif of the black snake in the opening credits is very appropriate. Violent as hell, thoroughly enjoyable. From the people who brought you Gomarrah. Resident Alien just gets better. "I could grow a moustache as a disguise. But then I would have to get a job as a firefighter or a paedophile." ![]()

Moved on to: Call my agent! French show about a French talent (actors) management agency. 6 episodes per season, about 1h per episode, featuring real life actors playing themselves. Quite fun ![]()
