My HDMI cable is arriving today so I can hook up my PC to my TV and watch it. Can't wait. LOVED the book. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it.
Spoiler for Ripped my guts out:

I am, and loving it almost as much as I loved season 2 already. Doesn't seem to have lost any of its cleverness or style over time, it's consistently solid every single episode. Every main character is really coming into their own now and the story is far enough along that things are starting to piece together nicely in my head and my anticipation for the coming **** storm is growing rapidly. After all of the build up and tension in last night's episode next week should be a hell of a ride.
Although I still like the style and setting of season 2 more, the amount of unexpected and unusual humor in this season is so much fun to watch. Stuhlbarg especially is just killing it. ![]()

I loved Emerald City as well but ratings weren't up to par. It definitely should have been a paid cable show. Production value was excellent.

Apparently, ITV hired a new guy and he's making changes there that are pissing some people off.
Along with the non-renewal of DCI Banks, and after finishing watching the last of Home Fires with its, literally, explosive ending, I learn that the new ITV guy is not renewing that one either - even tho it had tremendous ratings. There's a petition out there for those that are very serious about their TV. ![]() |

Just sat through a marathon of CNN's United Shades of America with Kamau Bell.
Wow. Powerful stuff. Half depressingly crushing and angering and the other half emotionally uplifting. The KKK episode just exploded my brain.
