At least with comedy if the end of the show sucks you can just ignore it because the episodes prior to it tell complete stories and are instantaneously gratifying.

I'm tired of being disappointed by TV.

You should try watching the BBC original with Ian Richardson. I've not seen the US one but I loved all three parts of the original.

I tried watching the original and I just can't. The US one is just more relatable since I know the political system here better and in depth.
