To say I'm not big on anime would be an understatement; pretty much any anime I've viewed (with exceptions being Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away) I've detested. With that said, a friend and I were bored of our usual Netflix fare, and he said we should pop on FoolyCooly. I noticed that for some bizarre reason - I rate anime low on Netflix - it was still telling me I'd give the show close to five stars, so I begrudgingly agreed. What a weird show! There are an abundance of legitimate laugh out loud moments, and the show is visually exciting and compelling. It will have extended periods of character-driven bits, only to devolve into pure, unadulterated madness. The puberty metaphor only makes it more humorous and intense. If you like anime, I don't know if you'd like this or not - but if you're like me and aren't a fan, this could be well-worth checking out. I've only seen two episodes so far, but wasn't as underwhelmed as I thought I would be.
