I hated Duckman. To me, in the 90s landscape flooded with a thousand poorly written adult cartoons all based of one small aspect of the Simpsons, I always felt 'The Critic' stood out, and most everything was crap.

Albeit, Duckman wasn't as suck as the vastly ridiculously overrated Clerks cartoon.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.

The Critic was amazing, but only went for two seasons. Still, it's probably the closest thing to touching the Simpsons during that era:

Currently watching Curb Your Enthusiasm from start to finish. It's really great, but I can only watch a few episodes at a time - not the kinda thing I can whittle through like I did with Breaking Bad.

It's amazing. I'm really missing the weekly episodes at the moment.

I love every character with the exception of Shirley - can't abide her! Top notch show though.

Shirley is the "Phoebe" of the show. Not funny, not funny and more importantly not funny.

I'm watching the original Shameless recently. I love it, although they got rid of three favourite characters.

Shirley isn't all bad. She has her good moments and she does add something to the show. Troy, Abed and Annie are what make the show in my opinion. Can't wait to see more stories of their shared apartment.

Agree, she isn't ll bad. She just isn't funny. It takes me a while to think of a line where she has been the main comedic contributor, rather than the butt of a joke - be that race, religion or weight. But those elements of her character creates storyline/comedy anyway, so it' all good.
