I'm surprised that you're surprised. It gets an 8.8/10 on imdb. The characters are great and the acting is great. It's not the most original premise I suppose, but it's the first time I've seen it handled as a TV series.

Speaking of zombie series, there's also the british series Dead Set from 2008. It's only 5 episodes, though! In Dead Set, some of the characters are participants in a Big Brother reality TV show on the telly. As they're locked inside the Big Brother house, zombie apocalypse happens on the outside. The series also follows some people outside the house. Overall, it was well done even if it wasn't mind blowing. As far as I can remember, the zombies looked pretty good.

Great stuff so far, I'm really enjoying it!

Season 2 begins over here on Friday so I guess it's a little earlier over there?

The first series was decent enough. Episodes 2 and 3 weren't too great but overall it's a good watch for someone like me who doesn't watch a whole lot of original drama on T.V. Although Frank Darabont (exec. producer and first episode director) has been booted from the show which doesn't bode well considering the propensity of American networks to constantly dump shows after a season or two :(

Do any of you Brits know when Frozen Planet is due to start(it's a BBC exclusive until 2012)? I know it's October but I can't find a date anywhere.

I think Community may be my favorite comedy series on TV now. It's hit or miss at times, but last weeks episode with the 6 different time lines was brilliant, to put it mildly

From what I can tell, they definitely upped the ante for the second season in terms of what they could get away with airing content-wise. So expect more gore in the long-run. Lovely gore.
The interpersonal relationships are becoming more complicated and tensions are rising. And just the way the first episode of the second season ended, you can tell they aren't going to be pulling any punches.

I think season 2 is going to be good.

I've actually read the series it's based on and, although it doesn't really follow it accurately, I think I have a pretty good idea of what's coming .. And I'm looking forward to season 2 :)

This may be one of the best acted series I've ever seen on television. Perfect casting: Steve Buscemi, Michael Shannon, Dabney Coleman, Kelly MacDonald, Michael Pitt, Shea Whigham, Stephen Graham, Vincent Piazza...and the list goes on! Wow. Top rate show, and I'm really getting into it.

The pilot episode is directed by Scorsese, who is also the executive producer. As such, it looks fantastic, too. I was watching an episode at my mother's house, and she wouldn't believe me that I wasn't watching a movie. Superb.

I seriously love this show right now.

Boardwalk Empire is one of those shows that you have to pay very close attention to or you'll be a bit lost.

I can't do anything else while that show is on.

Exactly! As soon as that last scene closed on episode 1 of season 2, I was like "Awwww...yeah." I'm hoping Michonne shows up this season!! Teehee...fingers crossed!

9 days ago I never watched an episode. I've watched all 46 episodes since
