Picking back up on The Wire. Lost it an episode or two into season two, didn't get it. Now I do. Starting from season 2 again, and very much enjoying it. Anyone looking for something similar, as I mentioned earlier, try City On a Hill.

Easily the best episodes in the season, and I'm including Hush. Now I'm gonna go watch the conclusion in Angel.
Yeah those episodes are brilliant, I'm happy the sequel in Angel didn't disappoint. I wish Buffy the series had made more use of Faith

I can't get over this scene. Everything about it oozes dreamy sex appeal and style. One of the few newer shows that doesn't have murder at the forefront that I have been fond of. The scene doesn't spoil anything if you're worried but it does imply a certain affection between the two characters. Watch it anyway.

I thought the quality dropped significantly by the third season. Hope they improve.

I'm on the 4th season of the Peaky Blinders. More sex, drugs and rock and roll. It's pretty dumb but passes the time. Also Adrian Brody is a great antagonist.

I'm glad I started with Buffy season 4 cause now when I finish season 7 and am bummed that there's no more Buffy I can just start at the beginning with the best seasons and end with the school blowing up.

Hey that's actually not a bad idea. Having finished season 2 of Angel I gotta say I'm exasperated by all the flashbacks and the Angel x Darla drama. It's even worse than Angel x Buffy, but without the emotional investment. You can't make me care by just throwing enough dull flashbacks at me (how did they manage to make them dull anyway when Angelus can be such fun). But the Pylea adventure is one of the most delightful things I've ever seen on TV, that together with Lorne and his demon karaoke bar and seeing another side of Cordy makes up for everything.

I always liked Darla in Angel (less so in Buffy S1) so that never bothered me. But yeah it sucks that Angelus never lived up to Buffy S2 again. Either it was weirdly kinky flashbacks where he doesn't do anything or he just doesn't have the same sauce.

Do you at least hate Angel less?

I certainly hate to watch him less, but I don't like him better as a character
