This is America. Romanticizing self destructive behavior is what we do.

TFW a newb understands how to embed Youtube videos without having to be told. Must be a sock puppet.

Sock puppets are known for their YouTube embeds?
|
How many newbs are marked by not knowing how to embed?

Was watching the first season of Outlander but am deciding to stop after 8 episodes, because at this point it just seems like trauma porn. The violence is extreme and there is a constant threat of sexual assault towards the main character which I'm not interested in seeing (apparently this theme continues across the subsequent seasons culminating in an apparently traumatic season 5 finale). I read a little about the show and why it's so obsessed with sexual violence and while I understand that this is a thing that happens in the world (and presumably happened a lot more in the 18th century), I am just not interested in subjecting myself to that as my evening entertainment. Am open to suggestions on less gory/violent historical alternatives. Anyone seen Poldark? |
Rome was pretty awesome if you happen to have not seen it.
