The new Rick and Morty episode was meta humour collapsing on itself. One of their best.

Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens has some schlocky acting but is pretty good overall. The grandma character is like an Asian Cotton Hill and she's hysterical.

Being a Mary Stuart/Elizabeth Tudor addict I couldn't restrain myself from watching this on Prime, despite the historical inaccuracies and general over the top-ness bordering on hilarity. Most enjoyable.

I imagine you've already watched this excellent tv series, not so much about Mary and Elizabeth, but about their dad, Henry vee one one one:-

Currently watching a limited-series documentary on Netflix, Jeffrey Epstein:Filthy Rich. It is an extraordinary tale of wealth, abuse and corruption. Recommended.

Hi, Lisna – Yes, I did see The Tudors and enjoyed it despite thinking that Jonathan Rhys Meyers was miscast as Henry vee one one one. I thought Natalie Dormer was wonderful as Anne Boleyn, though. Anne Boleyn is not an easy role to capture - I think Genevieve Bujold did a fine job portraying her in Anne of the Thousand Days (1969).

Have you seen the BBC tv productions of The Six Wives of Henry VIII (1970), Elizabeth R (1971), and The Shadow of the Tower (1972, about Henry VII – founder of the Tudor dynasty)? Keith Michell is the most convincing Henry VIII I’ve seen; Glenda Jackson’s performance as Elizabeth I is truly amazing (one of the finest portrayals by any actress in any role, in my opinion); and James Maxwell is a credible Henry VII. All three series are very well cast and historically accurate.

I enjoy forcing myself to binge-watch absolutely terrible garbage shows lately; I'm on the last season of Secret Life of the American Teenager (I cannot overstate how bizarre this show is-- also Molly Ringwald is in it), and I'm also slowly working through Vanderpump Rules which is massively entertaining.

As for regular shows.. I'm rewatching Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and I also started Superstore, Devs, and Kim's Convenience recently.

^ I agree, ribbons! It was difficult to get used to a Henry VIII looking like JRM - especially when the role, as the years went by, really needed a bloated old man, as per all those famous portraits.

Keith Michell looked the part so much more, although I only remember the "Six Wives" series vaguely. I don't think I saw those other two series, though I do remember going to see this movie, which I imagine you know. If not, I'm sure you'd enjoy it: great acting from Paul Scofield, great insight into one of the key dilemas of Henry's reign
