Helped get me through some of the shittiest times of my life.

I don't know. Maybe someone who isn't a depressed high schooler that grew up in a literal shithole would find it awful. But I rec it all the same.

You mean you grew up in a toilet?

Yeah, I pretty much did.

Oriphiel, I can certainly relate to having experienced significant trauma for the majority of my life. Institutionalized for my most formative years, isolated in an educational environment where they taught down to the most mentally handicapped child in the room, endured years of emotional abuse... that's what led me to steer clear of angsty teenage media (and most of society in general until recently).

I've worked through it and am slowly introducing myself to the culture I'd missed in an effort to rejoin the world. This past year has marked a significant amount of growth and progress, and so when I entertain a bit of media I'm just looking for something to help me feel grounded. That's why I enjoy the intellectual silliness so much.

To Frown, it's not that I'm seeking mental challenges, it's simply that I'm seeking comfort from a tumultuous life - my own form of escapism just like everyone else.

I'll give the series a fair shake when I'm feeling up to it. Cheers.

Either you did (or lived in an outhouse, latrine, etc) or it wasn't literal. Get ****ed if you've been lying to me.

My to-watch Documentary folder on my server presently has 1,523 films spanning everything from James Joyce to Cannibal Corpse, but I'm having trouble locating your recommended viewings. Shoot me a PM when you can spare a mo?

How did you end up with a Cannibal Corpse documentary? And I'm guessing it's Centuries of Torment? I remember that being good.

Thanks, Batty! I got into sneakernetting a few years ago and traded server contents with a fellow collector. Glad to hear you enjoyed the film!

Batty might also enjoy another selection from my library - Vader: And Blood Was Shed.
