Pretty sure we had this convo in plug, where you shat on it, and then admitted that you'd only ever seen like one episode. Then I recced Restless and The Body, and you bitched out.
Holy **** I had to look up those titles and The Body was where Buffy lost its innocence. The show was just always a bit darker afterward.

Assailable Person: I heard five minutes of TMR and thought it sucked.

Frownland: LISTEN TO THE WHOLE THING FIVE TIMES, AND THEN IT GETS GOOD, BITCH

Frownland suddenly looks down, and sees that his hands are disappearing. He finally realizes that he and the Assailable Person are one and the same.

Is it really that comparable to TMR? I gotta admit that it's pretty impressive for a grower to reach that level of popularity on television given the format and capabilities of the time.

It's a self-consciously cheesy show with great writing, so it might not be that big of a stretch that it might be a grower for you.

Ain't no cheese like a self-conscious cheese, just ask Weird Al. Sounds totally up my alley.

Yes, it is

Both start off cheesy and bizarre, and you're like "Why do people jerk this off so much?"

Then it finally clicks, and a bunch of cherubs descend from the heavens with pickaxes and crack open your skull, so some beautiful angel lady can swoop down and inject all that is good and beautiful about art and entertainment directly into your mind

Then it ends, and you feel depressed, because you know that most things will pale in comparison. But at the same time, you feel hopeful, because it has given you the inspiration to go out and do badass things, and make badass art

And then you roll yourself up into a burrito, and start it over again
